This is a book you won’t want to put down. Chris Eboch writes a compelling novel about a young ninth century Mayan heroine named Eveningstar Macaw. She was brave, loved and determined. She was able to get through anything, including the Well of Sacrifice.
As Eveningstar faced the evil high priest, Great Skull Zero, we encounter other priests, nobles, merchants, peasants, soldiers and a young “savage” from another tribe.
The Well of Sacrifice also shows what the scenery of a 9th century Mayan civilization was like in a large city and a brief look into a small city. In the large city, Eveningstar goes through temples, the forest, her house and many other places too.
