The Loose Tooth
By Haley
A few weeks ago, I had a loose tooth. A lot of the children thought it looked purple, but I didn’t. I don’t know why.
Weeks passed. It got looser and looser. I even thought it did tricks!…like cartwheels.
One night, I woke up from my sleep. I felt my gums. I gasped. “My tooth!”
I felt my gums again. “It’s gone!” I said. “But, wait,” I said. “Where’s my tooth?”
I took the covers and put them up. I took a big breath. “Wshooee!” I said. I went to go show my dad.
“Dad! Dad!” I yelled. “Look!”
My dad yawned. “What is it?” he yawned.
“I lost my tooth,” I said.
My dad slowly put his head up. He shook his head.
“Wow,” he said. “Where is it?” he asked.
I said, “Can we turn on the light?”
I showed him my tooth.
“That is so cool,” he said. “Now, go back to sleep.”
I walked back to my room, smiling.
When I woke up, I remembered last night. I looked on my night table. I saw my tooth.
