British Primary Education has its roots in the work of Froebel, Piaget, Dewey, Montessori, and Vygotsky. It is developmentally appropriate, hands on, and based on the idea that children learn through meaningful experiences, linked to their own interests and the real world. Learning is a social process where students make choices, interact, and collaborate with each other.
Contemporary Education has its roots with Piaget and Bloom's Taxonomy. It encompasses different developmental learning styles. Most lessons are chosen and introduced by the teacher, then students proceed at their own pace, thus creating a structured and directed environment for learning.
