Cabin's Peace

The Wind

Calm at first.
Then rough.
Howling like wolves.
Red eyes watching
while trees bow down in peace.
Voices of peace.
The lady of nature talking to me.
Wolves around me.
I feel just like them.
At last alone with them as a stream trickles by.
Aspen leaves wave good bye.
Smell of pine.
A light breeze in my face.

Dear float by.
They eat the grass.
Suddenly an arrow from the wolf hunter.
He moves very quickly.
Every move he makes is like a fox.
Unseen he heads for the rock out cropping so he can see better.
