The Flute

By Joshua, 5th grade

Jason, a rich, tall, 10 year old boy, walked alone in the Los Angeles Mall. He spotted an old man with an African tribe flute. "I have to have it," Jason thought. He asked the old man, "How much for the flute?"

But the old man said, "It's not for sale."

Jason insisted and said, "Name your price. I can pay anything."

"It's not for sale," the old man said again. Jason got upset and walked angrily away. That night Jason followed the old man home. When the old man fell asleep, Jason stole the flute.

When Jason got home, he tried to play some music on the flute but it sounded horrible. All of a sudden he was being blown in circles by wind, inside his house! He was knocked unconscious. The next morning he woke up and screamed because there were giant ants having a party on his pants. It was probably because there was a Snickers candy bar in his pant pocket. He brushed off the ants and got up. He looked around, and he realized he was in the middle of the jungle.

He was walking along trying to find a way home, when he found a wild tribe of natives. He wasn't sure if they were savages or not, so he thought that he had better be careful. Soon they were looking at Jason like he was an alien. All of a sudden, they were talking in some tribal language. Soon they pointed for Jason to have a seat next to the chief. Jason was excited.

All of a sudden, he was being shaken side to side. Soon he was awakened by his mom who said, "Jason Baker, you wake up now! There is an old man here to see you about a flute."
