From the Health Office

As a part of the Whole Child, Healthy Child 2020 agenda, Denver Public Schools will be conducting a Universal Health Screening (Vision, Hearing, Oral Health and Body Mass Index) for all elementary students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. The purpose of the screening is to identify students who may be at risk for health concerns affecting the student’s ability to reach academic benchmarks. The screening will be conducted at Steele from February 12 – 16.

Students will bring home an information sheet about the screening (with option to opt-out). Please review the information and contact Andrea Dite, RN (School Nurse) at 720-424-3724 with any questions.
