From the Principal

Dear Steele families,

Welcome back! We’ve had a great week welcoming back our students remotely and we are very excited to see them in person next week. Although we’re back in person, we’re still not back to normal. We have many safety procedures and protocols in place to ensure our students and staff stay healthy. We realize it’s been a while since all our students have been in person, so here is a recap of some of the changes:

Drop off begins at 8:00. The school day begins at 8:15 and the tardy bell is at 8:20.

When students arrive they will have their temperature taken and will then head into the building to their classroom. This is a change put in place for this semester. Our hope is that this will increase social distancing and will also keep our students warm on chilly winter days.

We have a staggered dismissal:

Kindergarten dismisses at 2:30
1st grade dimisses at 2:35
2nd and 3rd grade dismiss at 2:40
4th and 5th grade dismiss at 2:45

Families must remain behind marked areas for arrival and dismissal.

Please complete the health survey for your children each day before arrival. Here is the Safe Access Link,
How to get Safe Access on your phone:
Open the Safe Access link in Safari
Click the button to share (like you’re going to share the link)
Scroll down on that page and press “Add to Home Screen”
Done:)

All students must wear masks throughout the day unless they are eating or are on a structured mask break. We plan on going outside unless it’s wet or icy, so make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We will play in the snow!

Check out our full safety plan here.

We will resume Caught in the Acts next week.
