From the Principal

Dear Steele Families,

Coffee with the Principal is TODAY, Friday, March 15 at 8:30 AM. We will meet in the cafeteria. Please check in at the office, and Melissa or Yolanda will point you in the right direction. This is a great opportunity to meet with other parents and me in an informal setting.

This semester is filled with so many school events! Here are just a few for you to put on your calendar. Please check out the Events at a Glance.

  • Steele Talent Show is Thursday, March 21!
  • Shakespeare Festival will be here before you know it! Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be performing on April 26! This is such an amazing experience for our students!
  • Our Steele Annual Art Show will be Thursday, May 2 from 4:30-7:00 pm! You will not want to miss the opportunity to see the amazing artwork our students have created with Ms. Emily Joy!
  • Field Day Friday, May 17: Mark Your Calendars! Put in for a Personal Day at Work! We will have a more detailed schedule for parents in future issues of the Steele Stallion Press.

Help Us Keep Students and Families Safe
For the safety of our students and families, please abide by the city of Denver traffic laws during dismissal. It is illegal to park on the median side of Marion Parkway. Every afternoon, there are cars lining this area between Dakota and Alameda, making it very difficult for drivers to navigate their way through the cars parked on both sides of the street. I understand that parking is challenging during dismissal; however, nothing is more important than the safety of our students, families and community members. Thank you for your cooperation.

Spring Break and CMAS
Spring Break starts March 22 and runs through March 30! Remember, we have no school on Friday, March 22. Students will return from Spring Break on Monday, April 1.

CMAS testing for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders begins Tuesday April 2! It is very important for students to be well rested so they are able to do their very best!

Thank you for your continued partnership. We greatly appreciate your support!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cindy
