From the Principal

Dear Steele Families,

As we wind down Rainbow Week, we would like to thank all of the parents who prepared healthy snacks and delivered them to our students every day this week. We recognize the amount of time and effort it must have taken to make over 500 snacks each day and over 2500 for the week! Our students and teachers were challenged this week to eat fruits and vegetables that reflect the colors of the rainbow every day. The class with the highest percentage of participation in the Rainbow Week Challenge will earn a healthy Smoothie party!

Skatey 80′s is finally here! This Saturday we will come together to celebrate the strong partnership between Steele families and staff. This event is the primary fundraiser supporting our goal to provide two adults in each classroom. We could not financially sustain our second educators without your help. Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to seeing you rocking the 80s on Saturday!

Have you scheduled your Parent – Teacher Conference? Remember, conferences will be October 30, November 1, and November 2. If you are having trouble scheduling via Sign-Up Genius, please let your child’s teacher know. This is an important opportunity for you to learn how your child is doing academically and socially this year.

Make sure you mark your calendar for these upcoming non-contact days:
October 26
October 27
November 3

I hope to see many of you at Coffee with the Principal this morning at 8:30 in the lunchroom! Also take a look at the School News section for information on our upcoming Holiday celebrations!
