Steele is participating in The American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart event. For the past 9 years, Steele has helped raise money for the AHA to help fund youth heart surgeries and preventative education geared toward heart disease and stroke. In PE, we watched a 7-minute video explaining what Jump Rope for Heart is focused on and how to join Team Steele. The use of online fundraising, in which students create their own JRFH web page for friends and family, is recommended. For information about what AHA offers as well as how to register, go to www.heart.org/jump.
Our event will last throughout February. Students will be jumping daily (single rope, tricks, partner jumping, long rope spinning, Chinese wheel, and double dutch). Donation envelopes and online reports can be handed in to Coach Welch at any time; however we will not ship checks and reports until the first week of March. Earned thank-you gifts will be ordered the first week of March, and may take 3-4 weeks to arrive.
Thanks for your support. Any questions, email Coach Welch.
