Move-Up Day – June 3rd

We are excited that our students will get to meet their future teacher and classmates on Wednesday, June 3rd from 2:20 – 2:50. The reason that we do this is to give students and staff a chance to know one another and start the process of building a classroom community. If you have questions for your child’s teacher or information that you want to provide about your child, this is NOT the time to do it. We really want our teachers to be able to focus on their students at this time. If you do have information to share with your child’s future teacher please e-mail the teacher with the information – or, if necessary, set up a time to talk. Thanks for your understanding.

For parents and students who are new to Steele: We will have tables with class lists set up outside of the building tomorrow. Please stop at the table to find out what classroom your child has been placed in. All incoming kindergarten students and parents will start in the auditorium (after they get the classroom placement). The kindergarten teachers will introduce themselves, we will do a quick warm up activity, and then the students will be dismissed with their teachers. The parents will stay in the auditorium with me, and I will do a mini parent orientation and answer any questions you may have. After this, you will go to your child’s classroom for pickup.

We look forward to welcoming all of our new families to Steele. We’re so glad that you’re going to be with us!
