A Day in Nepal

The fog soon fades away into the beautiful evergreen forest above. It’s dawn in Darjeeling, Nepal, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Soon people start to appear, and the town comes alive. Sales people line up along the streets to sell their precious goods. Old, dirty cars fill the air with the sound of honking. Children run down the street in time for school.Men go to work while the women go home for the daily house needs. Now there’s nothing but a few tourists buying food and goods.

It’s noon, people go out for food and noise again fills the air. Soon the children come back from school and play soccer in the field.

Families eat dinner and go out for a nice evening walk. The sky darkens and it turns from pink-orange to murky gray. People fall asleep to the sound of the rustling wind. It’s night, black night.
