Top Ten Ways to Stay STEELE STRONG

Steele Strong:
Top Ten Ways to Support Steele Elementary TODAY!

1) Steele Strong Campaign
We are hoping for 100% participation in the fundraising campaign, whatever that means to your family. All donations are needed, and our campaign is NOT limited to just donations from Steele families; reach out to your friends and family to support your child’s love of learning! We are at 25% of our goal, with 18% of the community participating. Click HERE to make a gift today!!!

2) Corporate Matching
Increase the impact of your gift by participating in your company’s corporate matching program. Click here for a list of Colorado employers with matching programs.

3) Join the PTA
Go to https://steeledpspta.square.site to join the Steele PTA and join us at our next Zoom PTA meeting on October 13 at 6PM.

4) Steele Dines Out
Did you know we made $500 during our September Steele Dines Out? Avoid cooking and support our SDO throughout the year! Save the date for October’s SDO – Chipotle, October 14 from 4-8PM!

5) Link your King Soopers Account
Last year, only 25 families linked their King Soopers account to donate to Steele, and we made $1,900! If every family linked their account, we could make over $10,000 just from grocery shopping! This is easy money, and does not require any additional spending. Please log on to kingsoopers.com, create or log into your account, click on Kroger Community at the bottom, and click to find Steele Elementary. That’s IT!

6) Join Amazon Smile
We made $1,500 last year through Amazon purchases and with all of our online shopping, we can raise more! Log into smile.amazon.com with your regular Amazon account – you can search for Steele Elementary PTSA and a portion of your purchases will be given back to Steele! You have to shop through smile.amazon.com in order for your purchases to be eligible! Click here to learn more!

7) Volunteer and BE PART OF IT
Our PTA typically has an army of volunteers, however, due to the pandemic and remote learning, we are working with a very skeletal crew. We cannot do this on our own. PLEASE reach out to us – we have a ton of opportunities that can fit your interest and time!!!

8) Give Back
Support our sister school, Ellis Elementary. We had a fantastic turn out for our food and coat drive this month with Ellis Elementary, and our amazing Community Partnership groups are forging ahead with a food drive to continue to help those families in need. The next collection will be November 1-6, so stay tuned for details and thank you for giving back in these difficult times. If you would like to help with our efforts to give back or learn more about our partnership, please contact Johanna Woodrow or Ali Sweeney.

9) Return Extra School Supplies
Please return ONLY extra school supplies you may have (such as bulk construction paper, copy paper, etc.) in the bins outside of the lunch room. Volunteers will sort these items and have them ready for October 21st. Please KEEP any supplies you may need for your child’s art pouch or any supplies they have used so far this year!

10) THANK!
Tell your teachers and our staff THANK YOU for all the incredible work they have done and continue to do for our kids. And THANK YOU for being an amazing community! We appreciate YOU!
