Library

A few words from Miss Patty

My goal in the library is to have a place where students and parents can come and enjoy books. I am trying to build a collection that encourages reading, with a mix of classics, new fiction, leveled non-fiction and picture books that support and enhance the teachers’ curriculum. Each class visits the library once a week for 30 minutes to listen to a story and check out books. I encourage students to check out “just right” books but allow them to explore the shelves. You never know what may trigger a life-long passion. The library is a good fit for me because I can share my love of reading with the students.
