4th Grade

My name is Erin Royer, and I am so excited to be teaching 4th  grade! This is my 16th year of teaching, and there’s nowhere I’d rather be than Steele. I’m originally from the Chicago area and earned a master’s degree in elementary education from National Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. I taught 4th grade for five years in Atherton, California, and then after moving to Denver, worked in the Cherry Creek School District teaching 3rd grade and Title 1 intervention for three years. After having my sons Finn (15) and Leo (13), I stayed home to take care of them for a few years before restarting my career at Steele as a 4th/5th-grade math and literacy interventionist. I’ve been in the 4th-grade classroom at Steele for the past 4 years. I’m so grateful to live in Wash Park and to be teaching within my own community. In my spare time, I enjoy watching my sons’ baseball games, doing yoga, cooking, reading, traveling, and cheering on my Iowa Hawkeyes.
