Third Grade Teacher
This is my 8th year in classroom education, both in nontraditional and traditional settings. I have taught grades 2nd – 5th and am looking forward to being back within Denver Public Schools. I am especially thrilled to be part of the Steele community! I hold a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and completed my master’s degree in curriculum + instruction with a concentration in urban education from the University of Denver. Before I taught in the classroom, I was a community leader in EdTech within the Greater Denver area. I am passionate about real-world application so that every student can see why learning matters and why they matter. One of the most important parts of teaching for me is that every heart feels safe to learn within our classroom community. Denver has been my home for over a decade, and I love that I get to teach students in my own neighborhood each day. My interests include reading, eating ice cream from my favorite local spots, traveling, and spending time with friends, including the four-legged furry kind.
